The first priority on this project was public safety and maintaining uninterrupted access to the business park. To achieve this, we carefully cordoned off the work zones with clear signage and physical barriers, ensuring both pedestrians and vehicles could navigate the site safely while the waterproofing works were carried out.
With safety measures in place, our team began by carefully removing the stone infill from the drainage trenches. Each section of stone was placed onto protective sheets and preserved for reinstallation. This allowed us full access to the underlying substrate and ensured a clean work environment. Once exposed, the trench bases and walls were thoroughly cleaned and inspected for damage. Particular attention was given to joints, cracks, and transitions—areas most vulnerable to water ingress.
After assessing the condition of the trenches, we identified sections that required reinforcement with embedded geotextile fabric. This detailing step is essential for creating a flexible, resilient barrier that accommodates minor movement and stress in the structure. Following this, we applied a high-performance Liquid Rubber waterproofing membrane across the entire trench surface. The membrane formed a seamless, watertight layer, bonding to the substrate and providing long-term protection against water penetration.
To complete the works, the original stone infill was carefully reinstated, and the entire area was cleaned and restored—leaving no trace of disruption and delivering a durable waterproofing solution built to last.
